Brighton band KEG's new single 'Presidential Walk' is a frenetic ball of energy that gathers momentum like a tumbling boulder. Opening with an attention-grabbing drum roll of sorts, intricate layers of guitars fit together like pieces of one of those really big puzzles your nan does. Peppered with percussion and even some unruly trombone playing, 'Presidential Walk' is an eclectic take on the pummelling, high-energy post punk we've become accustomed to in recent years. Fresh from a well-placed support slot with Squid last night, Southerners can catch KEG live at the Green Door Store in Brighton on the 17th of September or at Portsmouth's Psyched Fest on the 18th, alongside a tonne of other excellent acts. -Holly Mullineaux
